Introduction
The file cleaner is an automatic tool which finds files which should be safe to remove. The tool looks for temp files from the system's temp directories, broken shortcuts from the start menu and also non-used shared DLL and other such files. The file cleaner is more like a built-in automation script than a real tool, it uses the file tool's features to find the files. You could find the same files with also just the file tool but the file cleaner allows you to find them with just a one click.

Usage
You can run the file cleaner from the main window. After the scan you will see the list of files it thinks are safe to remove. You should always go through the list of files before removing anything but the found files should be safe to remove.

Advanced information
The tool will use the default temp file recognition procedure, that is, a file is temp file only if it hasn't been used in a few days and if it has a certain file extension. The file mask is defined in the settings.dat, you may change it from there if you wish.

See more information about the DLL cleaner and the start menu cleaner.
